The City of St. Ignace's Zoning Ordinance recognizes the following districts:

Four Residential Districts: R-1, R-2, R-3, and R-4
Three Commercial Districts: Central Business, General Business, and Tourist Business
Two Industrial Districts: Industrial and Waterfront Industrial
One Public Recreation District
