Hiking Club
Normally we host our hikes on Saturdays, but due to a couple of scheduling conflicts here at the Rec. Department, this weekend’s hike is going to take place on Sunday, January 30th. We are going to be going to the Cedar Bay Camp (used in the winter for hiking and cross country skiing) out in Cedarville! You can find their address on google maps here. We will be meeting in their main parking lot by the main office (look for Morgan’s blue jeep!) and dogs are welcomed if leashed. They should have trail maps on site for weekend hikers like ourselves to pick up.
Please make sure to dress warmly!! This area is located right on the water so it might feel a bit chillier than further inland—especially if there’s wind.
We will be providing trekking poles to all who want them and have the option of just walking along the forest-lined road all the way down and back, or heading into the woods and trying out some of their (hopefully well-groomed) trails. Either way will be very pretty and will take us between an hour and an hour and a half depending on walking speed and direction.
