New Billing Code on Water Bills
City residents will find an additional sewer billing code added to the water bill. This line item reflects an increase in the Readiness to Serve charge, approved by the City Council on December 20th, 2021. The Readiness to Serve charge is used for debt repayment. We were made aware that the rate needed to be increased to meet the necessary debt ratio of 1.1. For most residents, the increase on your bill will be $2.85.
Any other discrepancies from prior water bills can likely be attributed to the billable timeframe. Depending on when your meter was read, one bill might cover a longer timeframe than others. The total number of days captured can be found on your water bill.
