Downtown - street side parking is free at a 3 hour limit. This is the best parking option for our visitors to frequent our shops and restaurants downtown. There is no overnight parking allowed.
Chambers Alley Lot is located behind the businesses between Central Hill and Truckey Street. This parking is free for 3 hours for visitors unless signage in sections states otherwise. The upper section of this lot also allows for permit parking for employees and residents of downtown businesses only. Please contact the DDA if you would like to find out if you are eligible for a parking permit.
Marquette Street Lot: 275 Marquette Street across from Little Bear East - this lot is a paid parking lot. Fees are collected by HONK, a digital parking platform. Currently the fees are $10 per day from December 1-March 31 and $8 for the day, and an additional $10 for overnight parking during April 1-November 30. Please use the app to register your license plate for parking purposes. This is the link to utilize HONK: https://parking.honkmobile.com/parking. There is ample signage as well to direct you to register and pay via HONK.
Dock 3 Parking is free for daily park and playground visitors only. For commercial and Arnold Freight purposes, permit parking is paid by using the drop box payment solution for daily, weekly, monthly, or annual parking. These permits are also available in the Clerks Office at City Hall.
Boat Launch: the boat launch lot is only available for use by those utilizing the boat launch. This use is $6 per day. This is valid for vehicles with trailers attached. There is additionally free 3 hour parking nearby at the end of Hazelton street. This is not for use by visitors utilizing the ferry lines.
Public Marina: Currently the City of St. Ignace Public Marina lot is for customers of the Marina and their guests. This is currently a permit-only parking lot.
Parking at our public parks such as the American Legion Park, Coast Guard Park as well as entry to the Huron Boardwalk near the Mackinac Grille is free for all visitors of the park. There is no overnight parking allowed in these spaces.
