Downtown - street side parking is free at a 3 hour limit. This is the best parking option for our visitors to frequent our shops and restaurants downtown. There is no overnight parking allowed.
Chambers Alley Lot is located behind the businesses between Central Hill and Truckey Street. This parking is free for 3 hours for visitors unless signage in sections states otherwise. The upper section of this lot also allows for all day permit parking for employees and residents of downtown businesses only. Please contact the DDA if you would like to find out if you are eligible for a parking permit.
Marquette Street Lot: 275 Marquette Street across from Little Bear East - this lot is a paid parking lot. Fees are collected by HONK, a digital parking platform. Currently the fees are $10 per day from December 1-March 31 and $8 for the day, and an additional $10 for overnight parking during April 1-November 30. Please use the app to register your license plate for parking purposes. This is the link to utilize HONK: https://parking.honkmobile.com/parking. There is ample signage as well to direct you to register and pay via HONK.
Dock 3 Parking and Boat Launch: Parking is free for daily park and playground visitors only. For commercial and Arnold Freight purposes, permit parking is paid by using the HONK payment solution for daily, and weekly parking. Monthly and annual parking permits are available in the Clerks Office at City Hall. Utilization of the boat launch at this lot is $6.00 for the boat launch and vehicle with trailer parking. These fees are collected in the HONK digital parking platform, as well. There are signs indicating such. Seasonal boat launch passes are available in the City Clerks office and are $50.00 for residents of the City of St. Ignace and $75.00 for non-residents.
Hazelton Boat Launch and Parking Lot: the boat launch lot is divided into two sections, and marked with signage to indicate each section. The lower section nearest to the boat launch is strictly for use of boat launch users, vehicles with trailers attached. Vehicles with no trailer, or trailers left unattached to vehicles will be ticketed in this section. Unattached trailers are not permitted to be left in any parking lot. There are parking spaces for guests of boat launch users near the bathrooms. The Boat Launch and Vehicle with trailer parking fee is $6.00. The upper section of this lot is available for daily public parking and boat launch overflow as needed. The daily public parking rate is $8.00 per day and $10.00 overnight. Parking can be paid for via the HONK website or app as indicated by ample signage. Seasonal boat launch passes are available in the City Clerks office and are $50.00 for residents of the City of St. Ignace and $75.00 for non-residents.
Public Marina: Our public marina has two parking options, a majority of the lot is reserved for permit parking only by guests of the marina. The front row of the marina lot nearest to the road is daily public parking, this parking is available for a maximum of 3 hours at $1.00 per hour. Parking can be paid for via the HONK website or app as indicated by ample signage.
Parking at our public parks such as the American Legion Park, Coast Guard Park as well as entry to the Huron Boardwalk near the Mackinac Grille is free for all visitors of the park. There is no overnight parking allowed in these spaces.
There is no camping allowed in any City parking lot.
