The City Manager is the Chief Administrative Officer for the City of St. Ignace working in a Council/Manager form of government.  The City Manager position is appointed, serving as an advisor the the City Council and carrying the Charter-assigned authority to enforce all laws and ordinances in the city.  The City Manager attends all meetings of the City Council and reports directly to them on matters of the City.

Among the other duties, the City Manager prepares and presents the annual budget, assists in planning strategies to achieve City Council goals, appoints and oversees department heads, and coordinates daily operations to ensue integration of services among City Departments.

The ultimate goal is providing quality services that are also dependable and efficient for the citizens, businesses and the community as a whole.
