Overview
The St. Ignace Police Department employs five full-time MCOLES certified police officers which are led by the Chief of Police. The Chief, Sergeant, and three Officers cover approximately 3 square miles of the City of St. Ignace, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The tri-county Central Dispatch Center in Kincheloe dispatches officers and uses the State of Michigan's MPSCS 800 MHz radio system for primary communications. All SIPD vehicles are equipped with in-car computers for LEIN access.
