Chief of Police Tony Brown stignacepd@lighthouse.net
Chief Brown began his career with the City of St. Ignace in February 2019. Since becoming Chief, he has upgraded several areas in the department including department policy and procedure, uniforms and department training. He acquired an Associates degree in Criminal Justice at KVCC and has been in law enforcement for over 20 years. Chief Brown resides in St. Ignace with his wife and 3 children. Like his predecessor, he has an open door policy and always welcomes feedback from citizens.
Sergeant Allen Mitchell sipdsgt@lighthouse.net
After earning a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Lake Superior State University, Sgt. Allen Mitchell made it his goal to eventually return to his hometown to work and raise a family. He worked for the Mackinaw City Police Department for two years before joining the St. Ignace Police Department in 2006. He now lives in the same neighborhood he grew up in with his wife and daughter. Sgt. Mitchell currently heads the department as the evidence/crime scene technician along with being a certified car seat technician.

Hailing from Pittsburgh, PA, Officer Cullen's path to becoming a police officer began in the US Coast Guard. After being stationed on the Biscayne Bay in St. Ignace and Cape May, NJ, he joined the Sault Tribe Police force as an officer in 1997, working there for 7 years before joining the St. Ignace Police Department in 2008. Officer Cullen is the Taser Instructor for the department. He resides in St. Ignace with his wife and four daughters. Officer Cullen was deployed to Afgahanistan where he was a Training Coordinator for the Department of Defense. He provided training in firearms, special weapons, tactics, convoy operations, high risk motorcade operations and PSD to Private Military Companies, the United States, Afghan and Foreign Military forces in Kabul, Afghanistan. He was gone for a year and returned to the department in February 2014.

Officer Paul rejoined the City of St. Ignace Police Department in April 2019. He first joined in August 2017 after graduating from Lake State University. He left the department to further his education with the Department of Natural Resources.
Officer Joe Rogers sipdjr@lighthouse.net
Officer Rogers graduated from Mackinac Island in 2012 and earned his Associated Degree in law enforcement from Lake State University in 2017. After graduation he headed to North Dakota to work with the Dunn County Sheriff's Department. Wanting to come back home, he began with the SIPD in December 2019.

Officer Finkbeiner began with the department in July 2019 as a part time officer. She brings years of experience as she previously worked as a Michigan State Police Officer. She lives in Gaylord and has a full time position as a nurse.

Officer Brothers is new to the department. He begins his career as a part time officer for the City of St. Ignace as of January 2020. He resides in Cheboygan, his hometown.
